Advancing Information Design across Diverse Contexts

Júlia Giannella is a professor in the Department of Design and Technology and in the Postgraduate Program in Design at the Fluminense Federal University where she teaches courses in the areas of digital media, interaction design and computer graphics. She also coordinates the Lafda research group (Laboratory of Physical, Digital and Algorithmic Artifacts). Her research interests include Computer Graphics, Data Visualization, Information Design, Interaction Design, Digital Humanities, and Cultural Heritage.

Renata has a postdoctoral degree in design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with research on teaching and learning in creative data visualization. She is an associate researcher on the Fapesp Thematic Project Digital Collections and Research, at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), where she also did postdoctoral degree. She has a PhD in Design from the School of Industrial Design (ESDI/UERJ), and a master's degree in Visual Arts (UFES).
